Cooking Fire

This fire was the outcome of a small gas powered stove being left unattended. Once SERVPRO of Kaufman County/Cedar Creek technicians arrived, we began cleaning all soot and residue from the affected materials and started preparing for the demolition process. Our SERVPRO technicians then started the demolition process by pulling all non-salvageable materials including baseboards, drywall and cabinets so we could prepare for build back. The build back was successful and After all was said and done, the home owner was very pleased to see SERVPRO of Kaufman County/Cedar Creek make things "Like it never even happened." Always remember to remain in your kitchen while cooking and keep anything that can catch fire such as oven mitts, utensils, towels, etc, away from the stove. It is also always a good idea to set yourself a timer that way you have a reminder that you are cooking something.
